29.05.202529 May 2025 scientific-practical seminar ‘Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Belarus ’Innovative technologies continue to develop actively in Belarus. This topic was the subject of a scientific and practical seminar held on 29 May 2025 at the National Academy of Sciences. The meeting brings together leading specialists, scientists and experts to discuss key trends, challenges and prospects of artificial intelligence.
The programme includes reports on global trends, security issues of new technologies. Special attention is paid to state regulation of artificial intelligence and its practical implementation - from design in mechanical engineering to diagnostics in medicine.
The keynote speech was delivered by Sergey Vladimirovich Kruglikov, Director General of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, who highlighted the trends in the development of AI technologies and their significance for science and economy.
The seminar was attended by experts from government agencies, scientific institutes and educational institutions. Among them:
- Alexander Viktorovich Neverovsky, Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus, with a report ‘Towards the issue of security of AI technologies’;
- Sergei Sergeevich Shcherbakov, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, spoke about the application of AI in mechanics and mechanical engineering;
- Alexander Nikolayevich Kurbatsky, Head of the Department of Programming Technologies of FPMI BSU, highlighted the application of AI in the IT sphere;
- and others.
