One of the most important tasks of digitalization of plant growing - reducing the harmfulness of agricultural crop diseases - is designed to be solved by the development of the United Institute of Informatics Problems. Head of the Aerospace Monitoring Laboratory, PhD in Engineering Sergey Kravtsov assures: the software package will significantly increase the economic indicators of agricultural crop cultivation, reducing possible losses due to diseases by 30-50% and maintaining the quality of the products. The program already "knows" what late blight and alternaria of potatoes are, can predict septoria of winter wheat and net spot of spring barley. In the future, computer scientists intend to cover about 15 diseases and 11 agricultural crops with the forecasting software package.
