Today, the Unite Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted a delegation of leading Chinese technology companies to discuss joint projects in artificial intelligence and biomedicine.

The aim of the talks was the participants' mutual desire to combine Belarus's scientific potential with the investment and technological experience of their Asian partners.

The delegation was led by:

• Wang Weipeng, General Director of A-StarLink (Xiamen) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.;
• Zhang Nan, a representative of the project's investment team;
• Zhao Fuqiang, General Director of Eurasian Bridge LLC;
• Alexander  Zhuk, International Relations Consultant, Eurasian Bridge LLC;
• Yana  Khorovets, Translator, Eurasian Bridge LLC.

The meeting was moderated by Sergei Kasanin, Deputy Director General for Research at the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Representing Belarusian science, the following participated in the discussions:

• Vasily Kovalev, Leading Researcher, Biomedical Image Analysis Laboratory;
• Olga Krasko, Leading Researcher, Bioinformatics Laboratory;
• Vadim Tkachenko, Head of the Computer Graphics Laboratory;
• Nadezhda  Borodich, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Exhibition Activities;
• Danila  Vorobyov, Researcher in the Department of Mathematical Cybernetics;
• Yan Laikov, Junior Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Mathematical Cybernetics.

Yegor  Lemeshko, Head of the Center for Aerospace Biomedicine and Rehabilitation at the Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was invited to the meeting. It is expected that the Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will coordinate further development of relevant areas of scientific and technical cooperation.

The meeting demonstrated both parties' strong interest in a long-term partnership. Combining cutting-edge developments in microelectronics and neural networks with the fundamental scientific base of Belarusian institutes opens up prospects for the creation of innovative products in the field of non-invasive diagnostics and rehabilitation.
