The exhibition-forum presents more than 100 projects, ranging from agriculture to intellectual healthcare.

On the opening day of the exhibition-forum, the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus (OIPI) demonstrated 10 of its own projects. This is a neural network software system to support decision-making in the diagnosis of lung diseases based on X-ray and tomographic images, the Platform - Corpus.by to solve problems and subtasks of AI projects, a neural network intelligent module for automatic control of an aperiumic cultivator in inter-acquerent treatments of sugar beet. IPI scientists also presented a system of computer simulation of potential drugs against COVID-19, completely their own project of the anthropomorphic robot NEWMAN and a number of other no less interesting, knowledge-intensive and practically useful developments.

On the first day of work, more than 20 reports were made about AI. At the round table on October 14, the forum participants will develop consolidated approaches to the directions of further development of the artificial intelligence school in our country.

As the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov noted, this exhibition-forum is not only the first in the field of artificial intelligence, but also timed to a significant date:

- This is the first exhibition in Belarus on artificial intelligence, and it is timed to coincide with a significant event - the birthday of the Academy of Sciences. In 1928, a resolution was signed on the transformation of the Institute of Belarusian Culture into the Belarusian Academy of Sciences. And now, 94 years have passed, next year there will be an anniversary – 95 years, – said Vladimir Gusakov.

Sergey Kruglikov, Director General of the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus, noted that the exhibition-forum became a platform that united the efforts of scientists, teachers, design engineers, programmers for the implementation of artificial intelligence systems of Belarus.

“In order for this system to work, work without failures and really benefited to define the rules by which to play among artificial intelligence. No one knows how artificial intelligence systems will behave in the future. It is clear that they will never replace a person, but, nevertheless, the rules by which they will be implemented should be determined by the joint efforts of scientists, teachers, our practitioners and systematically implemented within the framework of the digital development of Belarus as a whole, Kruglikov said. - At the site now we have about 100 different developments in a particular area. All of them are an indispensable part of today’s life for every citizen of society and the development of our industries.
