The results of the section "Mathematics, Informatics" were summed up in the OIPI of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus
16.10.2026
The United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus became one of the venues of the XXII International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists "Youth in Science - 2026". A meeting of the "Mathematics, Informatics" section took place within the walls of the institute. During the working day of the section, 28 presentations were given, covering a wide range of topics - from fundamental number theory to applied systems of artificial intelligence.
The head of the speech recognition and synthesis laboratory of the OIPI of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Andrei Mikhailovich Bondolovsky acted as the chairman of the section, Asiya Imranovna Mohammad, Ph.D., chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, as the co-chairman. The secretary of the section is Yury Aleksandrovich Bondarenko, the head of the laboratory of information protection problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The sectional meeting was held in the format of an active scientific discussion. Each presentation was accompanied by a series of questions. The geography of the participants and the variety of approaches confirmed the status of the conference as a barometer of youth trends in science.
Artyom Andreevich Radkevich, a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Robotic Systems of the Academy of Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, became the laureate. The topic of his winning work is "Integrated approach to optimal control of the movement of a mobile robot on omnidirectional wheels using machine learning methods." In his research, the young scientist presented a solution to a complex engineering problem. Robots on omnidirectional wheels have unique maneuverability, but their control requires colossal computing power. The researcher developed a hybrid system that combines classical methods with neural network algorithms.
The work of the section once again proved that the Belarusian academic school successfully prepares specialists capable of solving problems at the interface of mathematics and high technologies.
