Experts from the UIIP of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus participate in a series of radio programs on science

16.01.2026

Journalists are frequent guests at the Joint Institute for Informatics Problems. Our scientists actively collaborate with media representatives to share advances in information technology and AI. Another successful example of this collaboration is the radio program series "Simply About Science," which aims to popularize scientific advances and explain their practical significance in clear and accessible language. The program airs on the Kultura channel of Belarusian Radio. The next episode will be broadcast on Sunday, January 18, at 1:30 PM.

As part of the project, Olga Dydo, Head of the Intelligent Services Department, and Maria Slesareva, Junior Research Fellow, spoke in detail about new developments—audio guides for Belarusian cities and the Botanical Garden. Thanks to these services, residents and visitors to Belarus can listen to information about dozens of Belarusian cities while traveling, learning interesting facts and history in a convenient format, and take a self-guided tour of the Botanical Garden without missing important details.

In upcoming episodes, listeners will be able to learn about a number of important projects: a mobile app for recognizing bird calls and a navigator for wintering fish pits.
