About science – now in podcast format
10.02.2026
In the modern world, innovations and scientific discoveries are becoming part of our everyday lives. But scientific terminology often hinders our understanding of how new technologies work and the ideas behind them. And most importantly, we sometimes don't know which scientific achievements around us are our own, Belarusian ones.
To make science more accessible to everyone, the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, together with the "Culture" channel of Belarusian Radio, have launched
the podcast series "Simply About Science"—a project in which scientists explain complex concepts in clear and lively language.
Why listen:
- easy and engaging—complex concepts are understood;
- practical interest-oriented—we talk about real scientific developments that are already changing our world today;
- expert guests—those who work daily in laboratories on projects designed to change our reality for the better share their insights into scientific developments;
- professional presenter, journalist and science popularizer Alexey Gulevich helps you understand and love science.
In the first episode, we'll tell you how to rediscover Belarus as a tourist destination with audio guides developed at the United Institute for Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
