A new episode of the program " People's GOST" aired on the ONT television channel. The project is positioned as a social show on current issues. This time, the program focused on Belarusian science, specifically new achievements.

One of the project correspondents' locations was the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. It is a center for advanced research and development, covering a wide range of areas, from space exploration to medical technology.

In recent years, the institute has been actively implementing innovative solutions in healthcare. One of these significant areas of work has been the development of systems that simplify the process of disease diagnosis. According to Tatyana Avdeeva, head of the information and analytical systems laboratory at the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, since 2016, the institute has been implementing services that allow medical professionals to quickly and accurately record diagnoses. For example, a doctor can confirm a diagnosis, which is then automatically entered into the patient's electronic medical record. This not only speeds up the diagnostic process but also improves the quality of medical care.

Another major area of ​​the institute's research is processing and storing Earth observation data. Alexander Tuzikov, Head of the Mathematical Cybernetics Laboratory at the Joint Institute for Informatics and Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, emphasized the importance of developing technologies related to space activities. Such developments make it possible to obtain up-to-date information on the state of the environment, climate change, and natural resources. These technologies are used in various fields, including agriculture, ecology, and natural resource management.

It is especially important to emphasize that the work conducted at the institute not only contributes to scientific progress but also has practical implications for society.
