At the 12th International Scientific and Practical Conference "BIG DATA AND ADVANCED ANALYTICS," held at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, experts discussed current issues in big data processing and analysis, as well as current trends in artificial intelligence and technology.

The event opened under the leadership of the university's rector, Vadim Bogush. The conference was moderated by Sergei Dik, head of the Department of Engineering and Computer Graphics at the same university.

Particular attention was paid to practical aspects, so representatives of the Joint Institute for Informatics and Information Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the leading state organization in the field of information technology and systems, spoke on the program.

Sergei Kruglikov, Chief Researcher of the Department of Scientific and Methodological Support for Digital Development, presented prospects for the legal regulation of artificial intelligence technologies in Belarus, emphasizing the need for a regulatory framework for the safe development of AI.

Eduard Snezhko, Head of the Biomedical Image Analysis Laboratory, presented a paper on "Assessing Vulnerabilities and AI Security Methods in Computer-Aided Image Diagnostics."

With the rapid growth of digital data, creating effective tools for storing and analyzing it is becoming a critical task for the technology industry. At the conference, the UIPI team showcased its developments and promising areas in analytics and AI, confirming its leadership in this field.

It is worth noting that the conference included representatives from Belarus, Russia, China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan. In 2026, 109 publications were presented at the conference, as well as a collection of articles included in the Russian Science Citation Index and an electronic collection of materials.
