ChatUIPI: Know-how in information processing
24.04.2026
Data processing and structuring remain among the most labor-intensive and time-consuming tasks for employees at many companies and organizations. Constantly searching for information, analyzing it, and identifying key elements require significant resources and effort. The question arises: how can we reduce the time spent on these processes, improve employee efficiency, and simplify access to essential data? The answer is the UIPI chat. This development is the focus of the
new episode of the "Simply About Science" podcast series. Kirill Stepanyuk, a member of the Speech Recognition and Synthesis Laboratory at the United Institute of Informatics Problems, spoke as an expert. He described our institute's development, a system assistant. It significantly reduces the time spent on creating and using internal documentation, as well as promptly responding to user requests.
Key features include:
- Quick search and structuring of information.
- Adaptive data analysis—the system learns to recognize query types and optimize search processes.
- The ability to upload various types of information to the system: text documents, reports, instructions, and other files.
The main advantage is that the system o
perates locally, without the need for a constant connection to external servers or the internet, which increases data privacy and security.
Employee training for using the service is minimal. The system has a simple workflow:
1. Upload documents to the system.
2. Create an index database for searching.
3. User enters a query.
4. Automatic analysis and search for the required information.
5. Quickly display the result—a ready-made response or document.
Furthermore, the system allows for access rights management. Only authorized employees can add or edit information, while others can use the system to search and retrieve data. This ensures security and reliability.
The developed system helps save time, reduce employee workload, and expand analysis and decision-making capabilities. Learn more in the new podcast. Don't forget to react after watching, and subscribing will help you stay up to date!
