An online meeting was held between the UIIP of the NAS of Belarus and representatives of Myanmar.

Today, the Unite Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus hosted a Belarusian-Myanmar online meeting, attended by representatives of our institute and five Myanmar companies specializing in information technology. The meeting was moderated by Sergey Kasanin, Deputy Director General for Research. The Myanmar delegation was led by Sein Thu, CEO of Global Top Link Technologies.
Also participating in the meeting from the Unite Institute of Informatics Problems of Belarus were:
- Andrei Bondolovsky, Head of the Speech Recognition and Synthesis Laboratory;
- Boris Zalessky, Head of the Image Processing and Recognition Laboratory;
- Vasily Kovalev, Leading Specialist of the Biomedical Image Analysis Laboratory;
- Vladimir Matyushenko, Chief Designer of the Mathematical Cybernetics Laboratory,
- Nadezhda Borodich, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Exhibition Activities.
During the meeting, the Myanmar side expressed interest in expanding cooperation with their Belarusian colleagues, particularly in promising areas such as various IT solutions, artificial intelligence in medicine, drones, and large-scale language models. Developing international scientific cooperation is an important component of developing innovative technologies. The Joint Institute for Informatics and Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, with its high scientific potential, is ready to offer its knowledge and experience for the implementation of joint projects.
