22.05.2026
A meeting of the dissertation defense council for the specialty 05.13.18—"Mathematical Modeling, Numerical Methods, and Software Suites"—
was held at the Unite Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The meeting was chaired by Alexander Tuzikov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Head of the Laboratory of Mathematical Cybernetics at the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The agenda included the dissertation defense by Vladislav Sychev, Head of the Laboratory of Robotic Systems at the Unite Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, for the degree of Candidate of Sciences (Engineering).
The topic of his dissertation was "Models and Algorithms for Reservoir Computing Based on a Small-Scale Chaotic System for Signal Recognition in Mobile Robotic Devices." This research focuses on the development of new mathematical models and algorithms designed to improve the energy efficiency of embedded systems, which is crucial for the development of unmanned technologies and automation.
The research supervisor is Professor Alexander Mikhailovich Krot, Head of the Self-Organizing Systems Modeling Laboratory, Doctor of Engineering Sciences. His support and guidance were crucial factors in the successful defense of the dissertation.
Following a secret vote, the council unanimously decided to award the degree of Candidate of Engineering Sciences to Vladislav Sychev. The committee members highly praised the quality of the work and the practical significance of the research results.
We congratulate the Head of the Robotic Systems Laboratory on the successful defense of his research work and wish him a positive decision from the Higher Attestation Commission!
