A working meeting with a delegation of Chinese companies was held today at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to discuss promising areas of bilateral cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Alexei Trukhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The key topics of the dialogue were the implementation of joint projects within the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as the creation of a joint laboratory for advanced research. Sergei Kasanin, Deputy Director General for Research, and Eduard Snezhko, Head of the Biomedical Image Analysis Laboratory, represented the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The discussion is part of a systematic effort to strengthen the strategic partnership between the scientific communities of the two countries. Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further steps to develop a detailed plan for cooperation and coordination of joint actions.
