YASNAe TV" showed unique developments of Belarus' UIIP of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the field of security
26.06.2026
The YASNAe TV channel's "Time of High Technologies" program aired a new segment detailing the developments of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, presented at the "National Security. Belarus-2026" exhibition.
The projects, developed in collaboration with the Military Academy, cover two key areas: automated monitoring using unmanned aerial vehicles and the development of mobile geographic information systems for decision support.
The first is a system capable of automatically detecting and tracking various objects. This system significantly improves the efficiency of terrain monitoring, allowing for the analysis of large areas without direct operator intervention.
The second project, developed in collaboration with the Military Academy of Belarus, is a decision support information system based on a mobile geographic information system for military purposes. In the program, Viktor Konstantinovich Utekalko, Associate Professor of the Military Strategy Department at the General Staff Faculty of the Military Academy, described the system's capabilities in detail: "By selecting a specific territory, we can determine passable and impassable sections, roads, and barriers. All this will allow the commander to correctly deploy his troops or make decisions regarding specific actions. We can create a height matrix and a 3D model. These things are impossible to accomplish on a simple electronic map. Essentially, this program is the only one in Belarus to address this complex of tasks; it is unique."
The presented developments primarily form a unified high-tech ecosystem for ensuring national security.
