A successful defense for the academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences took place at the UIIP of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

A dissertation defense titled "Algorithms for Processing Printed Circuit Board Images and Automatically Detecting Defects" took place at the United Institute of Informatics Problems (UIIP) of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Alexander Vladimirovich Inyutin, Head of the System Identification Laboratory at the UIIP, presented his work—aimed at radically improving the reliability of domestic electronics—to the committee. The research was supervised by a recognized expert in the field: Valery Vasilyevich Starovoitov, Chief Researcher at the System Identification Laboratory, Doctor of Technical Sciences, and Professor. As electronic components become smaller and circuit boards more multilayered, requirements for fault tolerance are growing exponentially. Under these conditions, traditional visual quality control inevitably runs up against the human factor: inspectors' eyes tire, and microscopic soldering cracks or chip misalignments can be overlooked. Alexander Vladimirovich set out to find a solution to this very problem. His approach integrates AI into the inspection and analysis of printed circuit board images, enabling neural networks to verify electronics quality and eliminate defects as early as the microcircuit manufacturing stage. Following a secret ballot, the dissertation council—chaired by Alexander Vasilyevich Tuzikov (Head of the Mathematical Cybernetics Laboratory at the UIIP, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus)—voted to award the candidate the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. The final decision now rests with the Higher Attestation Commission. We wholeheartedly congratulate Alexander Vladimirovich on his brilliant defense and wish him continued scientific success and the successful implementation of his developments in actual production.
