As part of cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the head of the "Information Systems and Technologies" Department of the Faculty of Information Technologies and Robotics of the Vitebsk State Technological University, Vadim Evgenievich Kazakov, visited the UIIP of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

During the meeting with Sergey Kasanin, deputy general director for scientific work, the parties discussed in detail the prospects of scientific and technical cooperation, possible directions for joint projects and research. An important part of the visit was the acquaintance of the representative of the university with the supercomputer center, where the head of the department Victor Marshalovich not only conducted an excursion into the history of technology development, but also demonstrated the capabilities of cluster systems for solving specific tasks.

Next, the guest familiarized himself with the activities of the laboratory of robotic systems: the head of the laboratory, Vladislav Sychev, presented the main areas of work, successful projects that have already been implemented in production.

The next stage was getting acquainted with the laboratory of modeling technologies and high-performance computing resources. The head of the Chizh laboratory, Oleg Giyakh, and the chief researcher Medvedev, Sergey, clearly demonstrated examples of work using computer 3D modeling.

As a result of discussions and meetings, further joint work is planned, which will become the basis for a memorandum on cooperation between the UIIP of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and VGTU.
