Work on the "Intelligent Beekeeping" project has gone beyond laboratories and offices

15.04.2026

Work on the "Intelligent Beekeeping" project, a collaboration between the Unite Institute for Informatics and Beekeeping of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Center for Beekeeping, has expanded beyond laboratories and offices. Researchers from our institute visited an apiary and measured the quality of cellular communications. This test is an important step in developing technologies that enable remote data collection on the health of bee colonies. Using sensors and communication devices, beekeepers will be able to receive up-to-date information on the health and activity of their hives in real time.

This approach not only ensures more accurate monitoring of bee colonies but also facilitates the introduction of modern information systems into the agricultural sector. In the future, these developments will help beekeepers respond promptly to any changes and prevent potential problems. This will not only improve living conditions for bees and enhance honey quality, but will also significantly simplify the beekeeper's work and promote the development of the bee population, which is critical for the ecosystem.
