Degree programs

The Institute provides for foreign specialists post graduate studying followed by PhD thesis defending in the field of information technologies on the following specialties:

  • Mathematic modeling, digital methods and program complexes
  • CAD/CAM/CAE systems
  • System analysis, control and information processing

Supervisors of post graduating are high skilled specialists (DSc  and PhD) with good English.

The Institute provides the procedures for official including in PhD studying list:

  • Official invitation to get a visa  to come to Belarus
  • Registration in the Department  of Citizenship and Migration
  • Search for accommodation in Minsk for the period of studying
  • Support in including in the list of Russian language courses
  • Support in passing exams on  philosophy, foreign language and information technology

The supervisors will help the students:

  • To choose the topic of PhD thesis
  • To become familiar with the regulation of PhD thesis  format
  • To became familiar with rules of scientific articles writing and publication  in the proceedings of  international conferences
  • To complete the research  on the topic of PhD thesis

The studying could be in English.

The studying fee should be discussed individually.

The Institute  has  a well developed infrastructure of computer resources and  access to high-speed  Internet  for  the support  in the research on the topic of PhD thesis. The resources include both personal computers and cluster supercomputers with licensed software packages for solving scientific and engineering tasks.

Ph.D. degree programs

The Institute offers Ph.D. study programs in the following specializations:
  • -05.13.01 – " System analysis, control and information processing (industry)" (since 1965);
  • -05.13.12 – "Automated engineering systems (CAD/CAM/CAE)" (since 1965);
  • -05.13.11 – “Software engineering for computers, complexes and networks” (since 1976);
  • -05.13.18 – " Mathematic modeling, digital methods and program " (since 2000).

Ph.D. studying is the subject to the Guidelines on Training of Qualified Research Workers approved by Decision No. 1/12/2 dated February 22, 2006 of the Higher Attestation Commission, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Dormitory is not available for the period of examination and studies.

The applications are accepted from August 1 to September 30.

The entry exams in specialization from October 6 till October 10.

DSc  degree studies

Full-time (duration – 3 years) 

The Institute offers DSc study programs in the following specialties:

- 05.13.01 – “System analysis, control and information processing information” (since 1988);

- 05.13.12 – “Automated engineering systems” (since 1988).

Admission to and conduct of D.Sc. are subject to the Guidelines on Training of Qualified Research Workers approved 

by Decision No. 1/12/2 from February 22, 2006 of the Higher Attestation Commission, the Ministry of Education of
